Potato Casserole

Potato Casserole as imagined by Pampered Chef. Note the profusion of cheese and bacon.

Boris here, to talk today about how to make a potato casserole. I received this intriguing recipe for this when I purchased my Pampered Chef stone Rock Crock. It uses potatoes (duh), green onions, bacon, cheese, and chicken stock.

The best thing about a Rock Crock is how easy it is to miss-spell it. It's also really easy to cook in it when I make you do the cooking.

Yes, LD, but we're not talking about stone roosters. This time. Let's focus on how the recipe turned out. It was a tad bit harder to make than I'd have thought -- I kept wanting to just boil the potatoes instead of microwaving them in the Crock.

Seemed like a cheap way to "show off" how the Crock microwaves. But let's not call out the Pampered Chefs. Those ladies will cut you.

Yep, potatoes didn't seem quite done. And the recipe could have used more cheese, bacon, and onions. To be fair, I believe this about almost literally everything

.

That's fair. Still, your mashed potatoes were better than this and seemed to be just as hard to make as the stone in the crock. This recipe might be a good place to start. Let's start fixing it.

What a crock. No, you're right. Two out of five cupcakes for this meal.
